DUTIES OF GOVERNING BOARD:

Among its duties, the Governing Board shall:
i. provide strategic leadership and develop the strategic plan;
ii. review the implementation of the activity and research plans and monitor performance measures;
iii. review the activities and operations of the Council and make appropriate recommendations;
iv. To report on the content of research ideas / review to suggest some activities and operations of the Council;
v. admit new Members in accordance with the Rules of Procedure;
vi. prepare the agenda for the General Assembly;
vii. establish, and appoint members of, standing and ad hoc committees;
viii. ensure appropriate review and quality assurance of the Council’s outputs according to established processes;
xi. uphold the code of conduct for the Governing Board.

DUTIES OF MEMBERS:

The interconnection of ecological, social, and technological systems is something that members of the IRC accept as part of their professional and scientific involvement. They are committed to acquiring and disseminating knowledge that improves multidisciplinary professions and the sciences. The IRC supports the following guiding principles, which embody fundamental scientific and professional values of our profession, in an endeavor to encourage the highest caliber of scientific and professional conduct among its members.

Members are expected to:

1. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and scientific inquiry, as well as an unwavering dedication to knowledge growth.
2. Respect other people’s rights and achievements and give due credit to their ideas and labor.
3. Make an effort to stay clear of conflicts of interest.
4. Show social responsibility in professional and scientific work by taking into account who benefits and who is neglected by their endeavors.
5. Offer frank and unbiased counsel on topics they are knowledgeable and experienced in.
6. Try to inculcate these moral principles in students at all educational levels as mentors of the upcoming generation of professional and scientific leaders.
